  1. We are cruising in two weeks time with our 3 year old. We will be taking some of her snacks on board, biscuits, sweats, bottled water and cordial. Is it best to pack these items in hand luggage or in the main cases?

Also would we be allowed to bring a small hand streamer on board for our clothes?

    Thanks in advance

  2. This coming May we are cruising on Independence of the seas with our 3 year old. We have booked a balcony cabin. I have a few questions if anyone could please help.

We have asked for the main bed to be split into singles so the little one will sleep in one of those. We want to buy some portable bed rails so she doesn't fall out. Does anyone have any suggestions on what would be best to buy which would fit the bed and we could pack with us?

We are sailing to a number of different ports including Gibraltar, Barcelona, Nice, Rome, Valencia, Malaga, Cadiz We will be looking for local beaches at most of these ports can anyone help with locations and best way to get to the beaches.

We were also thinking about buying magnetic hooks to hang a shower curtain so the little one has her own little bedroom. Has anyone ever done this.

Thank you for all the help.

  3. Sorry to ask about drink packages but here goes.

Me and my wife are thinking about getting the 'Royal Refreshment Package' Could someone please tell us what is included?

The price online is currently £5.95 per day. Will that price be the same onboard and would we be able to pay for this package with the on board credit we will have. We are sailing from Southampton on Indy in May.

  4. I must be honest we have pre-paid and removed gratuities. Our next cruise is approaching fast in Europe. On this cruise we have not pre-paid and will be joining the queues (On the first day) to remove the auto-tipping. As we have done before we will be bring on board dollars to tip individual staff members. We enjoy this process so much more. We hope we won't be questioned to much at guest services for removing the auto but it is our choice and do enjoy tipping cash on a daily basis and giving out bigger tips at the end of the cruise.

  5. We are sailing on Indy this coming May and within our party is our little one who will be almost 3 1/2 years old at the time of sailing. She sleeps in a bed with side railing's (so she can't fall out) at home. We have already requested the main bed in our room is split into two single beds.

We wanted to buy a couple of portable side railings to fit onto her bed. Does anyone know how thick the mattress is on the bed or could anyone recommend some railings to buy to take on board with us.

Thank you in advance for any help.
