  1. Hi

Thank you very much for the reply's. I must admit we do enjoy the bigger ships and would be very interested in the new Britannia ship. We are a family of 4 with 2 children, the youngest being 17 months. We are thinking about a cruise in the summer 2015, will Britannia be ready by then and will it be child friendly? We was thinking about Anthem but the pricing is pretty high.

What is the boarding process like with P&O, because we have sailed with RC before we never have to Que, which is a advantage with children.

Any more help and advice would be great. Thank you once again for the advice so far.

  2. Hi all, we have sailed with Royal Caribbean on a number of occasions but are thinking about trying an P&O cruise. I am sorry if this question has been asked before but could someone please let us know what are the main differences between Royal Caribbean and P&O. When we have cruised with RC before we have tended to use there bigger ships e.g. Independence of the seas.

We would be looking to use the Southampton port.

Thank you for any help given.

  3. We have just finished a six night cruise on Indy. This is our second time on Indy and once again we had a lovely time. The weather wasn't great which lend to a lot of people staying indoors.

Joff was excellent as our cruise director, we also loved his morning TV shows with Tim. Our waiter was outstanding and once again most of the staff were excellent. We have taken lots of beautiful pictures and I will upload some soon.

All of the food on board was lovely, lots of choice :-)

A couple of things were disappointing. Most of the bar staff looked like they didn't want to be there, no smiles when taking orders etc it looked like it was to much trouble for them to take your drink order especially the waiters in the theatre.

We also noticed the drinks in the windjammer were watered down even more then before!!

We heard a lot of people complaining about the auto tipping (we pre paid ours) Can you just cancel the auto tipping on board??

All in all the cruise was great and Indy once again was beautiful. It is a shame it is the last year sailing from Southampton but we are very excited about Antham coming in 2015.

  4. We have just got back from a six night cruise on Indy. Our waiter in the main dining room was excellent, but we noticed most (not all) of the waiters serving drinks for example in the theatre looked like they couldn't be bothered, no smiles in fact very poor. We pre paid our tips this cruise. Quick question though, with this auto tipping can you cancel it and pay dollars to who you think deserves tipping?

  5. We are sailing this coming Sunday 25th May on Indy. We have also received an email telling us our boarding time is 2.15pm. I am disappointed about this as we want to get on board as early as possible and enjoy the ship. We are travelling from the midlands and was planning on leaving early.

Would we really be turned away if we arrive early?

Would we still be aloud to offload our luggage and park but then be turned away from terminal?

It does not seem fair that some people will have more time on board then people who can not board until later in the afternoon.

Btw sorry to go on lol.
