but the thing is - people who reviewed Meraviglia were mostly complaining about the poor customer service and hoards of people in the buffet who were cutting in line. This has nothing to do with the amenities, features, vibe or the fun activities the Allure offers or even any other mainstream cruise line.
Agree. Customer sevice at MSC can be (much) better.
But ... their ships are a-m-a-z-i-n-g!

Hi everyone!
Does anyone know which cabins on MSC Meraviglia that have tubs? Thanks!

It is so sad that MSC does this though. Charging for the water and milk for the little kid that need it. This is new to me.
Guys, let's stay on topic 😉

Hi there
What would you do if you booked a cruise and read negative reviews afterwards? People calling the ship not classy, over the top, etc.
I read that some people even cancel the cruise based on opinions of others? That's really sad no?
What is your opinion on this matter?

I do agree with most of the replies!
The one thing that really bothers me, is that some people can not say one good word about some cruiselines. For example, one told me that the ship is the most ugly ship she/he has ever seen. Not nice when you booked a cruise on that specific ship. Although 99% does love the ship 🙂

Can't really compare. Allure of the seas was built 10 years ago. MSC Meraviglia and Seaside are brand new ships.
Cruise Critic Editor Rating for both Meraviglia and Allure of the Seas = 5/5. Seaside 4,5/5. They're cruise fanatics and can compare in my opinion.

Hi there
We will be sailing with the MSC Meraviglia in a few weeks. The ship looks absolutely stunning and I can't wait to explore and experience it myself!
Overall, the reviews are great, but some are negative. I read that some people even cancel a cruise (whatever cruiseline...) based on opinions of others. That's kind of sad, no? Everyone likes something different. What I do not appreciate is that someone totally defames a ship. A lady wrote that she didn't like anything about the ships: the decor, the food, service, etc. Some people do not like all the glitter and glamour. I hate it when they discourage a cruiseline when they don't even know what they're talking about.
What is your opinion on this matter?

Hello there!
We will be sailing on the Meraviglia in a few weeks and we have the Easy Package.
I understand that drinks up till 6 EUR are included. Are milshakes included as well?
Thanks.

Hi there!
We will sail with the MSC Meraviglia in a few weeks and I have a few questions about the on board food.
Which restaurants are included?
Is an à la carte breakfast possible?
What are the dining hours? We are seated in the early dining section.
Thanks
Christophe

Hi there!
We will be sailing with MSC Meraviglia in the Mediterranean in April.
Kids love the waterslides ... will they be open? I do realize it depends on the weather, but what are your overall experiences?
Thanks
Christophe

Anyone?

Hi everybody
We will be sailing with MSC in April 2019 (MSC Bellissima) and am wondering if the slides will be open?
Thanks for any input!

I would not be worried about the cruises that are not the ones starting and ending in China. Those are the ones with the horror stories, because almost all of the passengers are from China and any culture in large doses can be overwhelming.
We just did an Ovation cruise starting in Singapore and ending in Tianjin (port nearest Beijing). The passengers were mostly Australian, New Zealand, American, British, and people from Singapore(some of which are ethnically Chinese) but are very westernized. So, no worries on those cruises. Now in China, there is definitely a lack of personal space, but it was not really a problem.
Our cruise visited Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, South Korea and China. My review is ongoing and in this forum.

Thanks for your input!
The cruise i'm looking for starts (and ends) in Beijing :o

Hi everybody
We are a couple from Belgium and love cruises. We sailed with Celebrity Cruises (Reflection), Holland America Line (Koningsdam), Norwegian and MSC. We traveled in Europe and the Bahamas.
Next summer (2018) we are looking for a cruise in Asia. I would love to experience the Quantum of the Seas and although the ship and itinerary will please me, i'm not sure if I will like my fellow travelers on board... I read some horrible stories about spitting, yelling, etc.
Just want to make sure we won't be making a wrong decision by booking an Asian cruise with Royal Caribbean. I hate the 'survival of the fittest' mentality (especially on a relaxing vacation)...
Do you know someone who has any experiences with this and confirmed the horror stories?

Hi everyone
Why is it so hard to find good information about HAL's Quench Beverage Package?
For example, are milkshakes included? Red Bull? How about sodas, just cans or fountain sodas as well?
When we buy the package for the entire cruise (Koningsdam), do we pay for the last day as well (we arrive in Amsterdam at 7AM).
Can we bring any beverages to our stateroom or do they open cans when you order them?
Thanks for any input!

Hi everybody
We will be sailing on Koningsdam in a few weeks and we are considering the quench beverage package.
Does anyone know if the orange juice is freshly squeezed?
Thanks!

We'll be sailing on Koningsdam.

Hi everybody
Just wondering which movies you can choose from in the cabin? Is it like a movie channel or on demand movies?
Thanks
Chris

Hi all
We'll be sailing on MS Koningsdam next month and i'm wondering at what time we could check-in and board the ship? The ship will leave at 4pm.
Thanks
Chris

Has anyone else noticed this? I think that it's great....except with 4 of in a room we would all have to buy it and at $248.00 PER PERSON that is a lot of cash. Thanks HAL, but what if the adults want the alcoholic package and the kids want this?
12 DAY QUENCH BEVERAGE PACKAGE
Enjoy unlimited mocktails, juices, bottled water (sparkling 330ml or still 500ml), Exploration’s Café Beverages and sodas. You get a Freestyle Coca-Cola cup to enjoy 100+ refreshing Coca-Cola flavors. A 15% service charge will be automatically applied to your purchase. The Quench Beverage Package must be purchased for the entire duration of the voyage. All guests booked in the same stateroom must also purchase the package. The package is for unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. The package excludes purchases made in the Mini Bar, Chocolate Seduction, In-Room Dining, beverages purchased on Half Moon Cay, and Freestyle Coca-Cola. Packages are non-transferable or refundable. No sharing is permitted. Participants may order only one drink at a time. Beverage Management reserves the right to evoke the package if misused and reserves the right to refuse service for any reason.
It says you get a Freestyle Coca-Cola cup to enjoy 100+ refreshing Coca-Cola flavors but then it says that it excludes Freestyle Coca-Cola?
Can someone explain?

On most HAL cruises, getting fixed late dining is not a problem :). By 8PM...it seems like at least half the passenger are already in their cabins for the night We generally do open dining...and prefer to dine late...often after 8. On most of our HAL cruises the MDR is pretty empty at that hour. Another advantage to dining late is that the shows for the late diners (often before dinner) are not nearly as crowded as the shows intended for the early diners. So we can often walk into our show at the last minute and still get a great seat.

:D
We are in our 30's, by 8pm the night is about to start...

HAL confirmed the fixed dining at 8pm and table for 4

This ship actually mixes fixed seating with YTD. Not a fan of it. See the Maitre D the first day and request to sit with other people. Are you fixed seating or Your time dining?

No idea!
We want the fixed seating, late shift. We booked directly with HAL, but no one asked.
Included facilities and food?

Will be sailing with Meraviglia next week!
I am wondering if the Polar Waterpark (bridge) is free of charge? If not, how much is it?
Besides the main restaurant and buffet, are there any other included restaurants? I was thinking of burgers, pizza...
Thanks for any input!
