  1. They were tested on board. Some in her party were isolated around the 8th day, but my sister tested positive on the last day before the ship docked in the Netherlands. They are all feeling ok. As I said before, they are not confined to their hotel in Amsterdam. They just want to get home.
  2. Update on sister and friends stuck in Amsterdam after April 30th, TA cruise on Apex. All eight are in the same downtown hotel and not confined to their rooms. They can eat in restaurants, tour the museums, etc. It seems weird that they can do all this and yet they can't be isolated on a 7 hour flight back to the state. I'm thinking plastic barrier on plane to separate them from other passengers. This is so hard on everyone. We all just want to be normal and enjoy life. I'm sure all the cruise companies are trying their best to stay in business, but the current situation is really, really bad. Good luck and safe travels to all who are about to embark on their journeys.
  3. She had no symptoms. Their TA cruise left Port Everglades on April 30, Celebrity changed compensation guidelines after May 1st. I think X will pay for their hotel and airline change fee 'cause she sailed before May 1. Not sure if they're still paying for hotels after May 1 sailings. She has good travel insurance. There was another option at that time, to stay on the ship, but I don't know the details of what that involved. My question is, what if after 10 days she still tests positive and still can't fly home. This could drag on and on. I feel for all these people stuck in Europe.
  4. I have no idea if she was wearing a mask onboard at all times. I seriously doubt it. How does one define normal interaction and social distancing on a cruise? Most people are not looking on CC, but I was curious to know what had happened on the cruise that preceded the TA cruise.
  5. my sister was tested onboard day before they docked in Netherlands. Her travel companions were already in quarantine on the ship. They were all vaxed and tested negative before they boarded in florida.
  6. Six out of the eight people tested positive in my sister's group on the Apex, April 30 TA cruise. They are now stuck in Amsterdam hotels for 10 days before they can fly home.
  7. After testing positive for Covid on last day of TA Apex cruise, my sister and her friends, who also tested positive, are stuck in an Amsterdam hotel for 10 days. Did they disinfect the ship before it left Fort Lauderdale, when there were covid cases among the crew before the TA? I seriously doubt it.
