The balcony cabins you took pictures of are the "Grand Suites"...we have one booked on the Fantasy in October of this year leaving out of Charleston for a 7 day cruise...thanks for the wonderful pictures of the ship and the interesting details of the port.
-
I loved that ship.........sad to see that the cruise lines just keep building bigger and bigger......bigger is not always better IMHO
-
I inquired about the owners suite on the Fantasy for our upcoming cruise in October. The quote I got was right about $8,400 for the 2 of us for a 7 day cruise....no way in heck would I pay that kind of money..lol...guess I will stay with our current room..but I figured it could not hurt to inquire.

Dreaming, unless they are picking up the tab for your onboard expenses

You guys are making me laugh this morning...I know the OP is serious but this thread is funny...I can't get over the saying "Rock that Speedo"...my boss is looking at me funny as I am sitting here in my cubile laughing.

How many clothespins do you think I should use on the shower curtain? I went out and bought some just for this purpose...LOL

We are cruising in September out of New York. I booked/paid for our tickets in the middle of January for a price of $161 including taxes round trip per person on American. This was from Chicago to Newark.
A few days ago I priced them again and the price was $310 per person before taxes round trip.
I priced Southwest and even with the baggage fee/no baggage fee, American still came out way cheaper.

Are you sure they weren't the rooms lights with the curtains open? I was informed that they turn them off by the bridge for navigation purposes.. I also got a 300.00 check back from Carnival because they didn't come up front about not being able to use the balcony at night on sea days, which made it not useable at night..except for some activities...Trust me call Carnival and they will tell you about the lights now.
We been in several afts and aft wraps and have always had our choice to turn off or on the balcony lights..is this something new?

I love this thread....it just gets funnier and funnier...keep it up !!
All of this making aluminum foil hats is really starting to become offensive to me and Im sure is very degrading to those that have problems hearing voices and think they have chips in their brains.
If you knew what you were talking about, you would know that you simply have to fold the foil to a certain thickness and place them inside of both of your shoes. This will disrupt the signals sufficiently and those that are monitoring you will not realize that you are on to them.
OMG..Stop It!!! I just can't stop laughing...you all are so making my day/night! -
This is the best advice you can receive ... it's right on the money (pun unintended). The natural train of thought here is that if one received an appraisal for three times the price paid, the item was purchased for 1/3 of its true value ... hardly. If that were the case, every retail jeweler in the US would be buying from DI. Your "port and shopping guide" is essentiually a salesperson, who benefits from your purchases from the "recommended" merchants (translation: kickbacks to both them and the cruise line). The "duty-free and tax-free" pitch is enticing ... but remember, DI and the others pay good money to be on thoses lists. It's nothing more than a business arrangement. Take heed ... and enjoy your cruise.

Have to say I agree 100%
Forget the tape. If it's a camera or listening device then all you have to do is wear an aluminum helmet while running around the room. Also stops aliens from abducting you.
OMG..I just spit my coffee all over the desk/keyboard...I love that comment..thanks for making my day !! -
Depending on how small the diamond is and/or quality it could be replaced by a jeweler in Canada or US for about $70-$125. I had that happen with a ring that was purchased here in Illinois and the jewelers charged me about $70. Whatever you do, good luck and I hope it works out for you. P.S. DI is a total rip-off.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express BWI West the 19th of November. The hotel was clean, and was fine for the 1 night we stayed there. We had parking for the 10 days of our cruise. The breakfast in the morning was very nice with a lot of selection. The shuttle to and from the port worked out very well.
If you have any specific questions, just ask.
Definitely worth the $99 for the one night's stay to get the hotel, breakfast, parking, and shuttle for the 4 of us.
Was there anywhere close to have dinner? We are thinking about this hotel, but are also looking for a place to eat later on in the day of our arrival as we are flying in the day before the cruise.

I'll have to try to find it on the Pride next October
-
Do they have one of those on the Pride ?
-
Wonderfully quiet suite at the back of the ship. Balcony wraps around and is to die for. DH and I will probably never sail again in anything else. Have her sister ship the Pride booked for Oct 2011 but in cabin 4237 on the opposite side.
-
I was able to bring on a large glass flask of Goldschlaugger in my luggage and it made it no problem. But I did also order wine from the Bon Voyage Dept.
-
DH and I will be on the Miracle in 3 days!!!!! We have cabin 4228 booked which is an aft-wrap. We are planning on having a sail-a-way on the balcony with many of our new friends from the roll call here on the boards. I will try to post pics when I get back. Hurry Tuesday!

DH and myself are sailing on the Carnival Miracle on 06/02/08 (3 days) and are going to do the Dolphin Royal Swim..since the ship has so little time in port, we figured this would be a good excursion to go on.
