Hello, Mom and I have cruised many times. Now she has lost her stamina and mobility. anyone know how Carnival handles muster drill for wheelchair bound people. I called Carnival and they were not helpful about this. Thanks

I was on crutches on my last cruise and they sat us down in a lounge and we listened to the muster drill and we got to get up before everyone else and leave

Great review! Did you happen to notice which night the Chef's table was? It would be in the Funtimes.

I did not and I wanted to bring the funtimes home but my husband thought they were trash so needles to say I don't have them

Did you find the Carnival Glory enjoyable? We are booked for next year, although on the Eastern Caribbean.

When we got back in the ship we were a little tired and took a nap we got up and went to dinner and then hung out on promenade and listened to music until it was time for bed

First Port Cozumel

We didn't have anything planned for this day we just wanted to get off the ship and walk around the port and shop

We hung out at Fat Tuesday's and got a drink and used the free wifi if you purchase something

We walked around and got some free stuff with the fun finds coupon book

We had FTTF and was on the ship shortly after 12pm, they told us we could have been on earlier but they had a coast guard inspection

Curious to hear about the ports. I'm on the Glory in February.

 

Also, how much was the taxi to the Port?

A taxi from our hotel to the port was $25

And from POM to MIA was a flat rate of $25

Ok first sea day!!!

I was so excited so I couldn't sleep in we got up and went to the platinum dining room for the sea day brunch it was so good,

After that we walked around the ship sat by the pool and some trivia

It was our first elegant night I had the prime rib and it was so good

My husband had 3 lobster tails and salmon

We then went up to lido to watch the dive in movie, I was disappointed with the popcorn it was burnt and they didn't put any butter on it

We then went back to the stateroom and went to bed

I did not play bingo but I was in there at the end of a game and everyone was having a lot of fun

Thanks for taking to time to write a review. Going on the Glory January 17th. Trying to read recent review to see how things are on the ship. What the not to miss stuff is with this Entertainment staff. Who were the bartenders in the Alcehmey bar if you went there? Were they fun?

I did not go to the Alcehmey bar but it always had people there when I would walk by, the gender show down was so much fun! I didn't go see any of the shows like divas but everything else was awesome.

The singers they have on the casino stage and in the lobby were awesome they had a band from Canada I think and they were really good, an asian couple that were amazing and a girl who played her guitar and sang she also would ask the audience for request of what to sing

We flew into MIA on Friday the day before and stayed at the red roof inn at the airport they had a free shuttle to POM but it didn't take you there until 1:00pm and that was to late for me so we called a taxi to pick us up around 10:45 am to head to POM

We got to POM around 11:00am and got checked in we had faster to the fun and we were on the boat a little after 12pm by 12:30 I was on lido eating a very yummy guys burger!!!

The rest of the day we explored the ship and went to dinner I don't really remember much more of the first day

Ok this is my first cruise review!!!

On this cruise was me (25) DH (27)and my parents (55) and (57)

My husband and I's second and parents first cruise

We did a western Caribbean

The ports we went to were Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay Honduras and Grand Cayman

I will start the review soon with the first day on the boat and no I don't have many pictures :(

They said it shouldn't affect our arrival time in Cozumel

We don't know what is going on just that we need to dock again, we got turned around and are now facing the way we need to go

I am on the glory now and we were setting sail but now we are docking again because of a medical emergency

Do a one time splurge and rent a scooter to get around the ship and the ports. They deliver it to the ship and there to pick it up when the ship docks. We did it once and it was great. You can look at the price and shutter because it's not something you'd like to spend the money on, but it is so worth it to you and the family.

Contact carnival. The company that they use will have a wheelchair waiting for you in your cabin.

Make sure it folds as it cannot be stored in the hallway.

Just call carnival and give them my booking number??

I would rent a scooter.

 

 

 

a cruise ship is a lot of walking- depending on where your cabin is located you could be doing a lot of hobbling-- and maybe walking on the foot-which you should not do.

 

 

 

I can only imagine your pits and hands hurting from the hobbling you will be doing.

 

 

 

a scooter is about 150 for the week.

 

a wheel chair is about 75.00

 

 

 

the cruise lines have wheel chairs but there are only a few and you can not use them off the ship

Where can I rent a wheel chair?

The dr told me I can walk on it some but not a lot

Uggestion, how about one of thotnings that wheel you can put your knee on, might be easier than churches.

I have looked into one of those and a wheelchair and they just cost to much money

I am leaving on the Glory on 12/06/14 unfortunately I broke my foot 4 weeks ago and I am now in a boot and on crutches the dr was hoping that I would be off the crushed by the cruise. But that doesn't look like it is going to happen :( what I am wondering is has anyone on here had to do a cruise on crutches before and if so how bad was it??? I won't have to be on then the whole time but the dr said I should use the about 80% of the time

I'm confused then...what am I doing wrong?

 

I'm seeing no way to get a PD or anything?

 

It just looks like it makes the cruise $20 more expensive pp.

My cruise was $5 pp cheaper and I got the $50 OBC

I got $60 total for this sale :)

I was wondering when the OBC would show up??? I used points to get $100 and it hasn't shown up yep
