Question about excursions in St. Thomas

We are going to St. Thomas in December on th Carnival Breeze and want to snorkel with the turtles. I was wondering if that is back to normal since the hurricane. If not what is a good excursion in St. Thomas?

From what I have read the storm took out the turtle grass in that location, but turtles are plentiful in other locations that ship excursions don't offer. The grass may grow back by December so ask again later this year before your visit.
