I know this has been asked A LOT but I would like a more updated responses. Seems like these things change due to time of year maybe?

Anyways..We will be sailing out of NOLA(of course) in ..let me look...17 DAYS:D WOOHOO..on the Triumph. When can we arrive at port? I like to get there early. Have to check out of hotel and gramma cannot walk alot. I have heard they don't let you into park until a certain time:confused::confused:

Also..my daughter will turn on her rent a car and they is noway we are going to get 5 adults and one child and a mountain of bags in my car at one time.

How is the walk from the French Quarter to port. We are staying at the Hampton on Carondelet St. I don't mind if it is long. I just want it to be safe:o

Thanks!!

It's way too far to walk for older people so I recommend a taxi. You can enter the parking garage at the terminal around 11 AM. It's a very easy process.[/quote

At first I thought you were calling me older.. then I realized I mentioned my MIL..haha

Anyway..I was going to have my husband drive her and my young son to the terminal and my Daughter and her fiance and I could walk. Is that doable?

No, I was refering to Grandma :)

They can be dropped off at the front door of the terminal, no problem. Where will you be walking from? If it's from the Hampton, you should take a cab.

In reading your post again, it appears that your Husband will park at the terminal. No problem there. You just pre-pay and drive up the ramp where Porters will take your luggage. They can then take the elevator down to wait on you.

not to change topic but to get clarification for myself- any special lot or instructions for those going to Erato St terminal that use a wheelchair (I have my car with handicapped plates)?

We are staying at Harrah's casino

Not really. It's easy access for wheelchairs. If you park at the terminal, you just take the elevator down. There will be personell to aid you as needed and you will be among the first to board.
