Port Canaveral

Does anyone know exactly what time the port opens? We have a 1030am port arrival time. Just wondering what time they open. This is for Port Canaveral.

The parking opens around 10:00-10:15ish. The terminal itself (for checking in) doesn't open until 10:30. That's if you're driving/parking yourself.

If you are arriving via DCL transfers from MCO, you can enter the terminal as soon as you get there (first bus generally arrives around 10:15). But the check in desks don't open until 10:30. And actual boarding doesn't start until 11:15-11:30.

We were once on that first bus. The first people allowed into the terminal are the people on the first bus from MCO, and the check in desks were open as soon as we cleared security. We arrived about 10:15, and of course security took a very few minutes. So the desks were open about 10:20. As soon as the line from that first bus has cleared security, the line opens to those who provided their own transportation.

The official answer is that the terminal opens at 10:30, but the real answer is that it opens a little before that...similar to most things Disney.

We've been on that first bus twice now. Both times, the check in counter wasn't open when we got there (10:15) and didn't open until 10:30. The terminal was open, we could go in, but we had to wait for the check in to open.

The difference is interesting. We were literally the first people thru security as we had nothing under the bus (intentionally!) And as soon as we cleared security and got upstairs, the counters were available for check in. Of course, we waited 45 minutes or a bit more for boarding to start.
