Seafire/Kimpton Resort visit??

Hi... has anyone tried to visit Seafire resort while off the cruise ship? My brother, SIL and kids are staying there on the day our ship arrives. I want to spend the day at the beach and am worried about just walking into the resort to visit them (there are 5 of us too). She doesn't think it's going to be a problem.

Any advice?

They should talk to the front desk to arrange for your family to visit.

Seafire is okay with people walking through and eating at the restaurants, but day guests can't use any other facilities there. Actual guests making advance arrangements may be able to work something else out.

The Kimpton doesn't do day passes, unfortunately, nor do they plan to, apparently. You could go and eat at Coccoloba which is right on the beach, of course, but won't be able to use any of their facilities (pools, chairs, etc.). Overnight guests are the only ones that can use the whole facility.

That being said, all beaches on Grand Cayman are public (even above the high water line) so there is nothing stopping you from using the beach there. It's just north of Public Beach/Calico Jacks so you could get the bus there and walk a short way north on the beach to get there.

See my response in the other threads. Beaches are not public above the high water mark unless you're at one of the designated public beaches. Waterfront properties own the beach above the high water mark as indicated on their property survey.
