Question on Euro's

Wife and I are going with Vantage next August 1st on a cruise from Holland to Hungary. Wondered if Hungary accepts euros or do I have to get euros changed into local currency when buying small gifts, wine and such. Willard

To clarify:

Hungary is not part of the Euro zone. The currency is the Forint.

Nevertheless many vendors are happy to accept Euros.

But they do not have to and if you should venture to more rural areas they are less likely to do.
