Question about Laundry Room in Ryndam

It's my first time in HAL, and I have a doubt.

Do I need USD dollars or I can get tokens/quarters charged to my account on board?

It´s a European cruise and don´t need dollars in any port.

The washers and dryers use US quarters. I believe it's US$2 to wash and US$1 to dry. The front desk will have them (we've never thought to charge them to our OBA, but I suppose it's possible) and will make change.

The laundry room is great on the S class ships...wish they had them on the Vista and Signature class!

Everything worked, too, on the Ryndam laundromat...Lower Promenade deck!

Buy the unlimited laundry package. On vacation, there are better things to do than sit in a hot laundry room.

We will on our upcoming cruise...no laundromat on the NA! I prefer to do my own as I have lots that I don't put in the dryer - and always launder with cold water, but we have no choice this time around.

I very much doubt that you can put the charge for the laundry coins on your on-board account.

Yes, you do need US coins to operate the machines.

Here's a suggestion:

If I'm right that you can't charge the price, then check with some fellow cruisers that you might get friendly with. Change some Euro for US currency, at a fair rate of exchange.

That way they will get a little more currency to use on shore, and you get the US money you need for laundry.

The front desk also does money exchange. They will take some of your Euros and give you USD. Exchange rate is not the best, but you are talking about a small amount.
