Hi There :) Just wondering if anyone has done the day pass through resortfortheday.com? It is quite expensive $130.00 per person so wandering how peoples experience has been and how far it is from the port? What will the cost of an Uber or cab be etc? There are also two RIU Aruba Palaces to choose from so which one is Better? Thanks!

I haven't done this but wanted to let you know that Riu bought the hotel next door. They are all in the same complex, although the original hotel is nicer. I would imagine that you can use all facilities if you get a day pass, but might be limited to certain restaurants.

We used resortsforaday a few years ago. I was nervous until we got there. Ours was in Jamaica and was exactly as described. They got us a return taxi back to our ship in plenty of time. $130/ is quite high though. Ours was $80.

In Sept last year we did the Riu Antillas (adult only) and enjoyed our day. All inclusive, food was decent, drinks were good, swim up bar in one pool, pool activities in the other pool and also a nice beach area (Palm Beach) with palapas.

Chair hogs (guests staying at the property) were in full effect, so lots of towels/books on loungers and palapas by the time we got there. With that said, we didn't have any trouble finding seats.

It did get a bit loud/rambunctious around the swim up bar in the afternoon, but did make for good people watching!

Taxis to and from were readily available and not overly pricey. Taxis in Aruba are extremely picky about you being dry, so bring a change of clothes or plan some drying time for the drive back to port.

Dan.
