RJGallagher1955 Posted August 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2018 We're taking the Star Princess out of Vancouver BC (9/15) with one stop in Victoria. Our Princess cruise consultant says the accessibility rep told her they will load my mobility scooter into the tour bus going to Butchart Gardens. I'm wondering if this is correct? I'd like a first hand account of someones scooter being put into the tour bus luggage hold. It's a rental and I'm not sure how easily it's transported. Last thing I want to do is take my scooter out to the bus and be told it can't be transported on the bus to the Gardens. Any thoughts? Mosttoyswin Posted August 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2018 We were there in 2015. I had a rental scooter. We got on a large motorcoach at the pier and they folded down the handle so it would fit in the large luggage space. Similar to this picture from the internet. I worry unnecessarily, so your reply fixes that. I appreciate the quick response. [emoji4] Sent from my BLA-A09 using Forums mobile app
jpcello Posted August 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Never done it with a rental but have done it was smaller scooters many times. We always tip the bus drivers a little extra and they've always taken care of us. Are you renting a full-size scooter or one of the smaller ones that break down?
