Aruba Tours in port

I am booked for my first cruise to aruba this fall. Our ship will be in port from 8am until 11PM. I am thinking about booking a fishing trip in the morning. I was wondering if anyone knows of any basic aruba tours that I could book off of the ship, so I could take a tour in the afternoon after my fishing trip. I'm assuming most of the shore excursions through the ship would take place during my fishing trip. Are there any I should book in advance, or are there plenty of tour guides waiting around at the port?

We found tour folks on the dock wear badges and have had great, reliable tours with them. Enjoyed the old fancy painted school buses and their tour guide drivers. Should be afternoon tours when we are there long hours. We also found casinos within walking area.

Aruba is a wonderful port and there is a lot to do there. Your cruise line's website will tell you what shore excursions they are offering and your time choices. There may or may not be deep see fishing offered. I have a stop in Aruba In October and I don't see deep sea fishing as an offering. I also checked Trip Advisor and I don't see anyone talking about it there either.

Aruba will have a ton of folks at the port offering tours. You may find fishing there. I know you will find a ton of folks who want to take you to the beach, take you on an island tour, or perhaps snorkeling.

Your best bet is to check what the cruise line offers first. Then you know how much time you have to do another excursion.

A caution for 1st time cruiser - if you take a ship offered tour, they will get your back to the ship on time or wait for you. In extreme cases, the cruise ship may leave and make arrangements for you to get to the next port but that is rare.

If you book a private excursion, they probably would not wait for you if you are late getting back. That is unlikely to happen in Aruba because you have such a long day there.

I recommend this company, a good jeep tour. They have 1/2 day tours too. I know they pick up at the hotels, but I'm sure they can tell you if they pick up at the port.

If I were you I would book ahead of time. Non cruise company excursions are normally less expensive, less crowded and you get more for your money.
