Magens Bay excursion thru Princess or on our own?

So Princess has a Magens Bay excursion on our upcoming trip. It is transportation to the Bay for 2 hours and then transportation to Charlotte Amile for shopping and then transportation back to the ship. There will be 4 of us at a total price of $124.80 plus tip. ( 2 adults,2 kids)

My questions are what will the price be if we just take taxi's and is 2 hours at the beach to little time for our first trip to Magens Bay? Any help will be greatly appreciated

Taxi fare from Havensight dock to Magens is $8 per person each way. The fare schedule does not include a discount for kids so expect to pay full fare. Magens entry fee is $5 for adults but not sure for kids.
