Cabanas on Royal

Are the cabanas at the retreat pool separate from the sanctuary? How would I reserve one and what's the cost? We are on our first Royal cruise in January. I watched a video about the ship. It mentioned the cabanas but didn't give any details.

The bottom of this page breaks down the different versions and costs of rented spaces for the cabanas actually inside the sanctuary, which offer more "perks" and are pricier, and the ones by the retreat pool. When we booked a retreat pool cabana, it was while we were making reservations for the sanctuary and for one of the afternoons they didn't have a spot available so we opted for the retreat pool cabana. So you don't need to rent a spot in the sanctuary itself to rent a retreat pool cabana but the sanctuary staff was where we signed up ahead of time to rent it.
