San Juan

Anyone sail out of San Juan on r c freedom of the seas? How is embark for the 8:30 pm sail?

We are going in September, but we cruised Adventure in 2016 out of San Juan.

Embarkation is mostly the same as any other cruise, you can board around 11:00am, the ship just doesn't leave until 8:30pm.

We arrived in San Juan a couple days early so just boarded and stayed on board around 11:30. A lot of folks dropped off bags then went to Old San Juan, a lot got on then got off after lunch.

Just note that ships no longer sail from Old San Juan. Those berths are used for ships doing port stops. You will sail from the Pan American pier across the bay. Would need a cab to get into town after dropping off bags.

In the past months I was on Jewel and a couple of weeks ago my friend boarded Freedom around 11am and it was a smooth easy process other than boarding on deck 2.
