car rental drop off at NOLA port????

Can anyone tell me what car rental place is at the port?? I am looking to rent a car one way and drop it off at the port. I am coming from the St. Louis area. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated.

I think that Hertz has reopened their office on Convention Center Blvd., very near the cruise terminal. Check with them to be sure.

When we were looking for FQ-area car rental returns, I found these:

Budget - Canal St.

Hertz - Lowes Hotel

Hertz - Convention Center Blvd

Avis - Canal St.

The issues that we encountered were the hours of operation, open/closed Sunday and if after hour drop-offs allowed. Be sure to check with each agency for what meets your specific needs.

For our 11-06 cruise, we ended up returning the car to the airport and DH took a cab to the terminal. While it was a slight hassle, it was easier than not having a car.

BTW, Hertz Convention Center is who we'd used previously. They had workable Sunday hours and were close to the port. Unfortunatley, they had not reopened after the hurricane yet. If they are open again, I'd start with them.

Looked like Hertz Convention Ctr.Blvd. was up and running last week. It's only about 2-3 blocks from the terminal.
