March Cruise St Marten Flights up 100%

Just checked again for flights to St. Marten in March for my cruise and they have increased from around $1000 to over $2000 per ticket. this really questions if this cruise is viable as this extra expense is way more than I ever budgeted for. I have access to Delta and AA from my home and wonder if others have experienced this type increase from other areas.

To put your post into context where are you flying from since from my hometown I have round trips half of what you posted.
