Hotels near Newark (EWR) Airport?

Any suggestions for hotels with airport shuttle near the Newark (EWR) Airport would be greatly appreciated. We're also looking for suggestions how to get to the QM2 Cruise Terminal on the west side of NYC the next day (2 persons and 4 suitcases). Have heard estimates from $50 (taxi) to $80-90 (car or limo service), for a 45-60 minute drive, unless there is bad traffic, which is not likely on a Sunday. Thanks for any info.

Pretty much all the major hotel chains are represented at EWR. Marriott/Sheraton/Days Inn to name but a few.

Taxis from EWR to Manhattan work on a flat fee plan. Unfortunately every time I take a taxi from EWR to my apt the amount seems to change. USD65 sounds about right

Why don't you travel from airport to Manhattan as soon as your plane lands and spend the night in a Manhattan hotel?

I haven't heard of a nice hotel in Newark since I voted for Ike in '56.
