Hislamb12 Posted November 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2017 My husband and I are leaving from Venice down to Greece for 7 days on 7/21/18. Flights directly from Denver to Venice are about $1500-1800, so I am considering taking us Norweigan Air for a direct flight to Gatwig London which is only about $900-$1000, and then there are cheap flights from Venice to Gatwig for about $125.. this will not only be cheaper but give us an opportunity to see London for a day or two, which I have never been to do either.. Has anyone else done this and felt it was a good option?
mapleleaves Posted November 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2017 It's a great option! I have done this a couple of times, but since i have family in manchester, i often fly there, and take jet2, ryanair, easy jet to Europe. Saves a lot of money. mapleleaves Posted November 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 6, 2017 Watch for all the add on fees that these budget airlines charge, ie checked luggage, seat selection, etc. Same with Norwegian for that matter.
Hislamb12 Posted November 7, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted November 7, 2017 Thanks it looks promising! yes, those charges do seem to include luggage and meals at economy rates.
JimmyTheSaint Posted November 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 7, 2017 You could use flight comparison websites such as Skyscanner or Kayak to look at different options. They'll compare different airlines and airports - London has six.
