In the process of getting travel insurance

If you cancelled a cruise and had UBP do you get the prepaid tips back?

(just out of curiosity...if you prepaid DSC, do you get that back)

If you got sick and needed to leave a cruise mid cruise, do you get any UBP tips back?

Are port charges, goverment taxes and fee's refunded in a cancellation?

NCL gives a different answer each time. I have printed chats that conflict.

Cancellation refers to 'Fare"

I am not nit picking. 40 night cruise has $1132on UBP tips and it will cost me over $50 to insure the tips unless refundable.

I agree but if its refundable, then I cannot collect insurance on refundable portions, and its a wasted $50.:D Steve

Prepaid DSC is definitely refundable as are port charges if you have to cancel the cruise. Since you also would not be using UBP -- or any SDP -- the prepaid service charges on those are also refundable if you cancel.

My liver hurts just thinking about 40 days of the UBP.

Its not that bad. on 21 nights we did 248 drinks. We figure we will get about 500+ :D on 40.

It may seem like allot, but 2 bloody mary's for breakfast 2 after excursion pre supper drinks and 2-3 evening beverages adds up (x2 people).

If we had to buy the drinks they would cost more than the cruise. LOL

Where does it say that? I can't find it? Insurance requires ALL cost's of vacation to be included except for refundable.
