rjones683-1 Posted May 10, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2012 Hello, We were on the Liberty 4-14-2012 and yes the safes worked via the magnetic strip. We used a non credit card one and it worked fine. Regards, R
CRUISING71 Posted May 10, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2012 You have to use a card to open it. I used the grocery store. Don't use your sail card.

brooklynfc Posted May 10, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2012 please tell me why we should not use the sail card? i do that all the time but now i am concerned??? I think it has to do with the room steward having a card that can access your room and so therefore having the same kind of magnetic strip that your S&S has, so they could access the safe...........or at least this is what I've heard. Also, some say that if you lost your S&S and someone knew your room number they could access your room and then your safe too..........
