Beaches near pt canaveral dock

We are docking in PC and want to go to a beach that may have seashells. The last time we went to Cocoa Beach we were disappointed. Are things different now?

Any other suggestions for a beach with shells near by?

Last year by the pier and coco beach had lots of shells and lots on jelly fish washed up onto beach

What did you like about cocoa beach? I also didn’t like it, though I can’t figure out why. I called it a dusty little beach town.

I would not think of Cocoa area as 'shelling' country ....

if you saw shells on the beach - and jelly fish - it was probable that it was soon after a bit of weather had passed and churned things up offshore and into the shore big time. (tall seas and strong winds from the east)

Shelling is best on the west coast of Florida ....

Experienced beachcombers know to look for shells at low tide and after storms or unusually strong tides. All beaches have shells, but some of the best beaches for shells in Florida are located on the Gulf in southwest Florida.

Sanibel Island is the most famous, and deservedly so. Its shallow waters and beaches are so favored by shellers that their bent-over, shell-hunting body position has been dubbed the “Sanibel stoop.” And no visit to Sanibel is complete without a visit to the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum.

I live in Cocoa beach and there’s tons of shells at my beach ... stop on this area ....

Cocoa Beach has several beaches where you will find seashells. We usually go to the beach near "Coconuts on the Beach" (restaurant), but you won't find any seashells there (too crowded). Last time we went to the beach right next to the Patrick Air Force Base and kids collected two buckets of large...huge seashells. My husband was not happy cause he could not play with his drone on that beach (air base was too close), but our kids were super excited.
