Jan 15 getting thru Houston to Galveston... Houston Matharon ..

Just saw 28,000 runners on Jan 15 for the Houston Matharon. So watch out getting to the port. I guess we will have take the toll road. Or is there another way from Waco way?

Check the route for the marathon but I really doubt they would be on the freeway. You should be fine; coming in 45S?

The freeways should be fine but if I was coming from Waco i would take Beltway 8 off of 290 anyway to cut down on potential construction on the main freeways.

My DD will be running in the Houston Marathon that day again! You should be fine coming down I-45 South. They can't block major interstates for the runners. I wouldn't want to be trying to get around downtown that morning!

We always take toll road 8--just much easier--is there a football game that day? Just take the toll road.
