Hi, I saw toddler time mentioned in another thread and wondered if anyone can advise of they have this on the magic and what age it is for. We are sailing next June in the med and will be travelling with a nearly 3yr old so interested in family activities for this age group. Thank you !

I have never seen any reference to toddler time.

DCL says:

Q: Is there babysitting?

A:

Group babysitting is available for children 12 weeks to 3 years old at Flounder's Reef Nursery on the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder, and at It's a Small World Nursery aboard the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy—all located on Deck 5, Midship. Guests may book babysitting times online in advance of embarkation or may sign up their children on embarkation day. The facility is open for select hours every day. Rates and times are subject to change and space is limited.

Just for info kids above 3.

Q: What is the difference between Disney's Oceaneer Club and Disney's Oceaneer Lab?

A:

Disney's Oceaneer Club and Disney's Oceaneer Lab on the Disney Magic and the Disney Dream are themed play spaces designed for children 3 to 12 years of age. On the Disney Wonder, both clubs are designed for children ages 3-12 years of age. Additionally, Edge is available for kids 11-14. While some activities are recommended for certain ages, participation is based on a child's interest level and maturity—not age. As a result of this, siblings and friends ages 3-12 can play in Disney's Oceaneer Club and Disney's Oceaneer Lab without restriction. Additionally, all activities are monitored by Disney-trained counselors.

This is the schedule from one of the Magic Navigators. Toddler time is listed at 9:00 in the Promenade Lounge just prior to the Wake up with Disney Jr. It's a playtime geared for the toddlers.

I also found this description on a different board:

A CM with a microphone with music in the background as baby toys are scattered around the floor. We found that it was geared more towards babies and very young toddlers.

Thanks for the info everyone at least now I know there will be some activities we can take part in as a family. She loves dancing so a disney jnr dance party sounds right up her street. would have been better if we'd waited till she turned three in the July but it just wasn't possible. We'll just have to book another cruise !

I think it will be a Magical time for her to go, and see the Princesses, see all the character meets, the Disney characters will be great with her,

You might even be Brave with her from Bonnie Scotland.

Toddler time is basically a playtime in the Promenade Lounge for very young people and their parents (it is NOT a drop off activity). It is listed as a "family" activity, so older siblings are welcome. It amounts to music, a sort of play/exercise time, and sometimes an appearance by someone from the Disney channel.

Sorry, I don't know who this character was--a kid told me it was someone from Playhouse Disney or some other kid show on the Disney Channel.

THIS! Toddler time is 30 minutes of songs/dancing with the director guy. Then Wake up with Disney JR is 30 minutes of play time with toys -(I assumed was tv, but wasn't). There was no character on our cruise during this time. Though I swear the director guy looks like the guy on the pirate video (so, maybe it was?)

Toddler Time was only on sea days. There was a song from Jake and the Neverland pirates, a duck song that thank god I can't remember and I refuse to try to remember, and a few others. They had movement/dance to them. Most of the kids seemed to know the songs (we didn't, but 14 month still had fun!)

Also, the club will have open house hours, be sure someone takes her there. It's open play time, they have an area with books, she can color or build, play with toys, or whatever. DD has a BLAST moving the orange cones around...yeah...lol...biggest grin. The staff was great and said she was fine moving them.

There's plenty to do as a family, imo. What SUCKS is you can't take her to the set activities listed, they are drop off. Disney doesn't care about those parents who actually want to spend time with their kids on the cruise...(sorry, just bugs me that we'll miss so many fun things because we don't drop her off).

It isn't that DCL doesn't care about families who don't do drop off. Parents USED TO be allowed on the OC with their kid(s). What happened was an incident with a legal adult in a kid area. While I can't prove it, I believe the edict of no adults interacting with dropped off kids came from the legal department. Bottom line--that's the purpose of the "open house" time. Parents can play/interact with their kids in the spaces at that time. Sorry, but basically it is an example of one rotten apple spoiling it for everyone.

Can you imagine what a nightmare it would be trying to escort 20 little kids while 40 helicopter parents tag along all trying to make sure that their little precious has the best experience possible and doesn't miss a thing all while trying to catch it on video? Oy.
