Klein Beach

Hello experienced ABC cruisers!

We will be docked at Kralendijk, Bonaire from 7 AM to 3 PM.

We are thinking of making this mostly a beach day. The ship has a Water Taxi to Klein Beach excursion for $35/pp. Seems like all we get is a water taxi ride to Klein Beach and maybe a fruit punch drink.

Are there public water taxis to Klein? If so, any recent experience on pricing?

Is this (Klein) DYI-able? Or should we look for an excursions?

You do not need to book it thru the cruise line. Doing it yourself is $18pp. Read the reviews, as they will tell you exactly what to do. They are all written by cruisers.

There is water taxi that departs from a bar just down the pier. $20 per person round trip. Just look for yellow boat.

I see lots of references here and on Tripadvisor to renting "equipment," but can anyone tell me if the rental equipment vendors also have snorkeling VESTS? And if so, are they part of the rental gear price, or additional? How much?
