Glory Lido Balcony Cabin

I will be doing an Ultra Casino cruise on the Glory in October. Was able to get a Lido Balcony cabin and am very excited. I was in a Lido interior on the Glory several years ago but I don't remember the exact location. I know that it was quiet, my daughter was on her second week as an Entertainment Hostess, so that whole week was a bit of a blur (lol)

We will be staying in Cabin 9281. When I looked closer, I realized that this cabin is right below Water Works, and now I'm wondering just how loud it will be?? I like spending time on the balcony during the day, but am I bit concerned about whether I will be hearing screaming children all day (I love kids, but you know what I mean).

Anyone been in 9281 or any nearby?

I was in 9292 twice. Waterworks closes fairly early so you should be fine. The only thing is you may hear them move deck chairs in the wee hours of the morning but I wouldn’t stress. Only happened to me once out of 14 nights. It was about 3AM and it went on for so long that I threw on my robe and went out to see what it was. There was one guy standing there with a mop thing and I swear he was just moving the chair back and forth in the same spot. I think he was mopping under it and would scrape the chair against the deck with every stroke. I was NOT happy. I yelled “Seriously?’ At 3 in the morning?!” Or something like that and turned around and went back to bed. It quieted down after that.

I realize they need to clean, but they can at least pick the chairs up and move them and not drag them along the deck. I would think it would be quicker that way too.

That makes me feel much better. I typically make sure I have cabins above & below me, but didn't think about water works.

I've been on a lot of cruises and the only time I made a mistake about not researching was 5 or 6 years ago when I booked a cove balcony on the Dream & didn't realize we were directly under the galley. I swear they were bowling with pots and pans at 3:00 a.m. everyday. I've been in coves since then, but always make sure we're under the dining room not the galley.

I loved the 2 times I've been in Lido interiors and am totally stoked to be able to snag a balcony.

I think you will be fine. I loved being on Lido and would stay in that cabin. The ones you have to be careful of are the ones surrounding the Atrium. They play music down there until about midnight or so and it is LOUD. I could hear it when I went out in the hall. Have a great time!!
