Abear2 Posted July 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2018 Ok, as strange as it may sound, I have a request from my grandson! He would like a Maple flavored Moose head sucker! I had gone on an Alaskan cruise a few years ago and brought him one from Prince Rupert. Long story short, his grandfather ate it and he has been upset ever since about that poor sucker! LOL He is 10 years old and he was only 4 back then, but has not forgotten about that sucker! So, if anyone knows a place in Victoria that I could find these, please let me know! Thanks so much! Rare martincath Posted July 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2018 Can't guarantee you'll find a moose head shaped maple lollipop, maple leaf shapes are most common up here, but these 'buck or two' items do tend to be available in tons of stores in touristy parts of Victoria & Vancouver. I also recall a dedicated candy shop that has lots of Maple items (as well as imported candy and soft drinks from all over the world) in downtown Victoria where I could swear I did see various-shaped maple syrup suckers in the 'impulse buys' at the counter area while buying some Irn Bru - a quick Google has me confident it was Oh Sugar on Johnson Street. If you're heading up to Chinatown or for a beer in Swans you can easily stop in.
Abear2 Posted July 30, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted July 30, 2018 Thank you so much for your help! I truly appreciate it and I will head to Oh Sugar for sure! How far is that from the port? Do you have any idea about the distance to see if I need a taxi or a bus? ;)

Do you have any idea about the distance to see if I need a taxi or a bus? ;) I'd walk myself, but it's not too much short of two miles by the time you include getting from the ship up to the nearest point I can give directions from so you may prefer a cab (probably ~CAD$13).
