Bringing soda/water/alcohol onboard Liberty?

Anyone have any idea if you can pack soda/water or alcohol in your luggage to board the Liberty of the Seas. I have seen other posts where people have mentioned bringing 12 packs of sodas and waters and other who have brought on their own bottles of wine. Curious if this is allowed or are people "smuggling" it on? If either way is do-able, how do you pack it in your suitcase? Sailing on the Liberty June 6th.

Water and soda yes, alcohol no.
