Serenade Sewer Smell bathroom #8672?

I was just reading some reiews on this board regarding cabins on the Serenade. Some were complaining about the sewage smell coming from the bathroom in D2 category Aft cabin # 8672.

Has anyone else who has recently stayed in this cabin had the same issues? I was wondering why this cabin was the only category d2 aft still available. Did I make a huge mistake in booking this room?

The problem is sewer gas from the floor drains. It is easily remedied by pouring a coffeepotful of water into the drains.

I can happen on any ship, in any cabin at any time....it's certainly nothing to worry about, since there's nothing you can do about it. Keeping the drains blocked somehome (close the stoppers, etc.) do tend to help if you have a problem.
