beth555 Posted September 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2010 I posted this on another board but thought I would post here as well. For those that went to the Antarctic, did you use your boots on every landing including the Falklands? I am trying to figure out what I need to pack and if I will be using the boots all the time on each and every landing.
fragras Posted September 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2010 When we went on our trip to Antarctica, boots were provided by the ship. In fact, any time we've been on a cruise with Zodiac landings, the boots were always provided. Grace

The only place you won't need your (gum) boots is for the Stanley visit in the Falklands, which is a dry landing.

jures Posted October 20, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 20, 2010 just received the boots recommended by the PAII outfitter as well as some fleece ware. they are BOGS and come just above mid calf, look very substantial but light, i can attest they are very warm.
