Burbank Airport to San Pedro Pier?

You are roughly twice the distance of LAX to the port plus having to travel through the City (with more risk of traffice tie-ups), so I would guess about $80 in a cab. Check out SuperShuttle for a comparison price. Long Beach Airport and John Wayne are closer than Burbank. Why are you flying in there? You can easily fly United or Southwest into LAX from Sacramento.

If you're going from Burbank airport directly to San Pedro, it will involve many freeways and lots of traffic especially if you come in during the day. In other words, a taxi picking you up at Burbank will take the 5 down to the Harbor (10) to San Pedro which takes you through downtown LA (eek) or else the 5 to the 134 which turns into the 101 to the 405 (lots of traffic again) down to the Harbor Fwy. So as others would say, unless you're staying with friends in the Valley (who can drive you to the Port), it's best to fly into LAX or Long Beach and stay on the coast overnight (we're assuming you're not going to make the mistake of trying to fly in the same day of the cruise, right?).

It will be an expensive taxi or shuttle. It'll be something we're going to be looking at for next December: drive in ourselves in our small car (which won't hold everything we want to take) and pay for parking or pay $$$$ for a shuttle from the North Valley.

Thinking about sailing Princess in Jan from LA. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a hotel that would be convienent to the piers, possibly with a shuttle that might pick up at the airport or drop at the pier or something like that????
