Hampton Inn Seaworld/ Airport San Diego

Has anyone here stayed at this location? We are going to Hawaii in October and plan to get to San Diego the day before our cruise. How close is it to the pier? Would appreciate any comments.

This is what www.sandiego.com says about the hotel's distances.

"We are conveniently located adjacent to the 5 & 8 freeways. SeaWorld is 3 miles away, Historic Old Town/San Diego Trolley is 5 blocks, San Diego Zoo is 6 miles, San Diego Sports Arena is 4 blocks, San Diego Downtown/Convention Center (via San Diego Trolley) is 1/2 mile away, and Fashion Valley Shopping Mall (via San Diego Trolley) is also only 1/2 mile away!"

The pier is downtown, so according to this it is very close, especially if it is right off the 5.
