Transportation from IAH to Galveston

We are flying in 2 days before our cruise and staying for an extra day after the cruise to look at homes. Has anybody used the services of Hertz or Enterprise to go one way from Bush Intercontental to Galveston and then on the way back?

Haven't used the car rental places, but Cruise Liner Express does transfers in Galveston. Give them a call & see if they can help you, should be less than cruise line. Their number is (866)742-2280.

Enterprise has a cruise passenger special rate, too, so check with them about specials.

Both seem to work well from what people have said for pickup and drop offs. They are the only two currently doing that in Galveston.

We rented from Enterprise from IAH one way to Galveston for an August cruise and again rented from them for our retrun to IAH. Enterprise and Hertz are the only 2 car rental agencies that have a checkin counter inside the cruise terminal immediately before u exit with your luggage.

Also, flew from Ontario, Calif. to IAH on Continental for $190 round trip...booked it on the airlines' website...hope this helps.
