Hey guys! It's been 7 years since my last cruise and I just came back yesterday from my trip on the NCL Gem, I got to visit Cape Canaveral, Nassau, and the private island, and ate at the complimentary restaurants onboard. I have like, 100 photos so I'll be slowly posting all night, so maybe hold off comments and questions till tomorrow. If you don't want to wait, you can view all of my pictures on my Flickr at,

Anyways.... here I go!

As soon as we got onboard, after we got our first drinks we hit the main dining room and got lunch. I have pics of the daily lunch menu later on in my album. So above is the popcorn shrimp.

The first drink I got was a mojito in the Atrium. I got most of my drinks here, and headed to the Topside Grill for my frozen ones. Antoan in the Java Cafe made the best ones!

The Miami Vice, which is layers of pina colada, strawberry daiquiri, and i think blue curaco

Here is the room service menu. There's a $7 charge on all orders (not per item) but you can get pieces off the complimentary continental breakfast page for free in the morning, just fill out a door tag many they give you, and leave it on your door knob at night.

From the breakfast buffet in the Garden Cafe the next day. Bacon was really good, eggs not so good.

White chocolate mousse from the lunch buffet, didn't have much flavor. I only went to the buffet to grab snacks, preferred the food in the dining rooms more.

Some clams and muscle which were good and in a light marinade. Shrimp risotto. And I'm not sure what that thing on the right was, it was like a fried sushi roll/beef wellington thing.

If you're looking for some seafood in Cape Canaveral, we went to Molly's Seafood Shack on Merritt Island and got oysters.

The sushi was pretty good, the rice was a bit undercooked, but I liked it more here than at the sushi restaurant on board.
