Sprint Cell Phone Use Along Coastline

I was trying to figure out the coverage map for Alaska and really couldn’t get a good picture. It almost looks like Anchorage is covered, as is some of the coastline. Has anyone been able to use there Sprint Nationwide Coverage while sailing North or Southbound? Do you sail close enough to the coastline to pick up a signal?

What about the areas of Canada? Any reception along this area?

Our nationwide Sprint phone worked in Anchorage, Ketchikan and Juneau. The phone also worked in Vancouver. We lost service about 15 minutes after we sailed from Vancouver. We have not had much luck along coastline in using the phone. Hope this information helps.
