Hi Pete,
No review yet. The pictures were the easy part. The writting is a bit harder and requires a little more brain power than I have right after a cruise. I will be posting some thoughts soon.
Thanks for asking.

Bruce,

Your pictures are wonderful and provide a very nice overview of what I should expect on my upcoming cruise. I am happy to see that there will be no shortage of bars.

On an unrelated note, do you recall the order of the dining menus (e.g. which menu corresponds to which day)?? I am pretty sure that I have the sailaway and landfall menus placed, but the other days are not clear. Thanks much.

merlin71,
I'm pretty sure the order for the Eastern Caribbean is:
Sailaway, Captains Welcome, Italian, Chefs Dinner, Caribbean, Captains Gala and Landfall.

Sorry JaniceC don't know if I'll get that far. But if you have some specific questions I'll try to answer them

Wendy,

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the pictures.

I have no recommendations for St. Maarten, I usually just take the water taxi to downtown Philipsburg.

In St. Thomas, I think the full day champagne catamaran sail to St. John is the way to go.
Make sure it's the FULL day (6 hours) as that is usually on The Heavenly Days. It takes you to Honeymoon Beach and after snorkeling or just laying on the beach, they serve a full lunch and have an open bar for the sail back.

Your sure to have a great time no matter what you do....

Liz,
Thank you. No problem. It is the Fuji FinePix S5000. Some of the specs are 3.1 Megapixel 10X Optical Zoom. The zoom compares to a 35MM camera lens range from 37mm-370mm. The flash is terrific. I set the camera to auto and it does the rest.

Hey Bruce

I just got home from the Caribbean Saturday. Kinda a bummer to be back but loved looking at your pics. I wish I had taken as many wonderful shots as you did. I took all my 4 rolls in this morning for one hour service, my impatience kicked in. Anyway.... I was wondering if by chance If there is a way to share some of your pics. I am new to this board thing as well as computer knowledge so I wasn't sure. I loved your boat pics. You did a great job. thank you so much for sharing them. Haha, I was looking at your photos and was wondering why so many had no people in them. Then I noticed that at least one of them (#35) was taken straight from the inaugural page for CP at princess.com. So, how many of the photos are actually yours?

thundercleese,

Thank you for the interest in my photos. To answer your question - 68. All except #35 which I included (and attributed if you noticed) from the Princess website to illustrate the tiered balconies that so many people have questions about.

I find the best way to get pictures of the ship, not passengers, are on port days. Since I've been to many of these ports before I simply wait until most passengers have disembarked and I have ample time to take passenger free pictures. I also find that this is the best time to find a prime spot the pool!

CruiseKing,

Nice photos!:) Thank you for taking the time to share them all with us. I'm headed out on the Caribbean Princess in December and can't get enough of the photos!

Did you have a favorite hangout on the ship?

Thank you partyboy.
We had a nice balcony cabin as you could see. Most afternoons my wife and I would fix ourselves a drink, I'd have a cigar and we would wave to the captain on the bridge and enjoy our sailaway's from port. After dinner we spent most of our evenings in the Wheelhouse Bar at the bar. The bartenders, Sam and Ronnie took very good care of us. We were like their regulars. The captain and cruise director came by each evening and we would have a nice conversation with them. We also met some of the friendliest passengers in their every night. Anyway you do it or anywhere you find a comfortable spot I'm sure you'll have a great cruise. Any other questions feel free to ask and I'll answer them as best I can.

Hi, I noticed that you only cruised Carnival once. Why or why not would you do it again? We are looking toward the Elation and have not been on Carnival as a family.
Thanks!
