Onboard SD1 Dec 16-23 mini review

DW and I are currently on SD1 for our fisrt SD experience. This is a mini review of trip so far.

Prior cruises: X-1, NCL-1, RSS-1, Seabourn-4

Service: Exemplary in all areas. Quietly attentive without being solicitous.

Entertainment: Very much make your own fun. No organized entertainment to speak of.

Ship maintenance level: Top notch. Looks almost like new. No squeeks or rattles in cabin.

Cabin: Small but very nice. Bedding is excellent. Bathroom is tight but shower is wonderful. Fatima the attendant is excellent.

Food: Very good. Wines are excellent. Meats are cooked as ordered. Always served promptly and hot. Chef's specials and deserts are imaginative and well crafted. Bar service is top notch.

Fellow passengers: Pleasant and interesting to talk to without exception,

Spa: Wonderful!

Misc: Announcements are infrequent and informative. Ports are interesting.

Overall the best cruise so far. Better than SB for service, but be warned, you need to be able to entertain yourself. If you enjoy chatting, super cuisine, and service of the highest calliber then SD is without equal.
