Adding a 3rd Passenger...

Recommended Posts

Here's a question I haven't seen on the board...

We have a large inside cabin booked on the Norwegian Sea (4 lower beds...) and have a friend who would like to join us (to "use up" the other bed). Are there any cruisers who have successfully added on another cabin-mate - after an original booking?

Is is possible (6 weeks before sailing at this time)? Did you contact the line (i.e. NCL) directly?

Anyone's wisdom or experience would be gratefully received!

Thanks!

Should not be a problem . Whoever you booked with originally, Travel Agent or NCL would be the one to add the 3rd person. The only issue would be if the ship has reached its maximum passenger capacity (for safety reasons) and they can't add any more passengers. Have never heard of an inside cabin with 4 lower beds. The 3rd and 4th are usually a sofa bed or pullman bunks.

Thanks for the reply, BaumD...

Yes, it is strange to have 4 lowers but this ancient :) ship has one interior at each corner of the bow of the ship that has 4 singles around a square shaped cabin... After the Navigator and the Century, this should be quite a change in environment!

Happy New Year!
