luv2travell Posted September 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2009 just got back a few weeks ago from our Mediterranean & Greek cruise on ruby princess we flew from jfk to Rome direct flight. the this is what the airline served as. we almost lost a day going to rome they gave as a wrong printed ticket to amsterdam good thing they have another flight out that day 2 hrs later.cab is ride to our hotel was 50.00 euros.and the taxis are available just outside the baggage claim arrea. we stayed in hotel capo d" Africa for 2 days pre cruise the hotel is about 10 mins walked to the coliseum we book our touTicket Office online of the Vatican Museums we did the Vatican garden tour that was nice for 2 hrs then walked around town if you were going to do a lot of walking wear a good pair shoes remember the cobblestones the trains are very easy to navigate or just maybe i'm from NYC lol so no big deal here its 2 underground lines (A-B) stop at most major tourist sites as well asintersect at stazione termini, the central train station.look for the big red" M" signs for entrace into the subway. i book our tours prior to coming to rome Colosseum Online tickets - Omniticket.it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

luv2travell Posted September 13, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted September 13, 2009 3 hrs past tour is over its alot of grounds to cover it include a bus ride and alot of walking my dogs a barking we mailed a few post cards for our scrapbook they have a special seal. time to head back to our hotel for check out on our way to the port the taxi fare is 150 euro for me and my 3 year old son. it was a quick check in make sure you sign all the necessary papers. i did wish i walked around Civitavecchia . no picture taking are allowed in check in Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

luv2travell Posted September 13, 2009 Author #8 Share Posted September 13, 2009 the drill are held in the casino being so closed to the pastry shop and the vine were they served tapas. this is were we stop 1st everytime we came back from our tours.our dinning room is Botticelli we got the 2nd seatting we should have took the early seating my son would have been able to spend more time in pelican the chidren area. he miss a couple sit down dinner since they have some interesting program for them like the tonga night, they make alot of craft and they do gave them 1 sm stuff animal.they painted a white t-shirt with a pelican on it and it say princess on it. his food mine his our head waiter. i took our menu every night including the dessert menu except for the last dinner since we were in venice at 5pm i lost track of time he would have enjoyed it since it was bake alaska the server wear an american vest bow ties & cummerbunds this is the what our waiter sent to our room since they know he likes dessert. our server was very nice 1 couple dont do formal our waiter said he will send the food to their room by room service i think that was lobster night.
