Gold Coast Cruisers Posted September 26, 2009 #27 Share Posted September 26, 2009 Yes, it’s a bit bumpy! Just reading your cruise history Kiwi_cruiser and see that you haven't had a good run on ports of call on your cruises have you? You've had many cancelled...what a shame. Hope you have more luck in the future. Jillybean:)
Kiwi_cruiser Posted September 26, 2009 #28 Share Posted September 26, 2009 Just reading your cruise history Kiwi_cruiser and see that you haven't had a good run on ports of call on your cruises have you? You've had many cancelled...what a shame. Out of 5 cruise we have done, we have not done too badly with the ports of call :) (Other people have had worse then us), Out of all our cruises we have done, we have only missed one port due to the weather (Townsville) The other 3 ports we missed because other people would not let us their or did not know: e.g.: Niuafo'ou (The Caption did not know we where meant to go their!!), Ouvea (Civil unrest), Isle of Pines (Chief not wanting h1n1 “swine flu”, this one did not matter as we have been to Isle of Pines before). Its only Niuafo'ou & Ouvea that’s was a shame we missed, and with Townsville, we can go back their on a land trip. And we have only had one cruise get cancelled. Gold Coast Cruisers Posted September 27, 2009 #29 Share Posted September 27, 2009 The weather looks a bit smoother today for those enjoying the Pacific Dawn. Poum always makes me smile. I remember being on a cruise to Poum with Cruise Director Dan Styne who always referred to it as Pooooooooooooum, "the place where we take you to see a row of cute coloured round toilets". Does anyone else remember those toilets? Jillybean:)

In all the cruising we've done we've only had one change and that was the port of Livorno on our Med cruise because Celebrity had double booked two of their own ships on the same day, Constellation which we were on and Millennium. They couldn't fit on the wharf together so we were diverted to La Spezia which was just as good, so it didn't worry us. Jillybean:)
