Freeport and Nassau..dock and options

Where does Carnival dock in relation to Bay Street Nassau and to the shopping area in Freeport/Port Lucaya and can you get to both either walking or by shuttle? We are looking for options to do that don't involve the beach as we live at the beach. Is shopping in Freeport worthwhile?

Ship to Bay street is an easy walk. A couple of city blocks.

 

In Freeport the port is an industrial port which has only a tiny straw market, a gift shop and a bar. Shuttle to Lucaya is about 5 bucks, taxi is about 25 bucks. Lucaya is where the straw market, gift shops, casino, and tour boats are. 15-20 min car ride.
