All tour operators are aware that the cruise ships operate on their own schedule as they make their living from giving tours. However, mistakes happen, especially if multiple ships are in port.

 

Should anyone else find themselves in this position, instead of wasting time chasing down the owner of the Company, look for another tour operator in the port area or just tell a cab driver that you want to go snorkeling which is an EXTREMELY popular activity on this island.

 

Unless of course, you want to waste your time on this beautiful island stomping around in a snit.

And this is basically the same info given on Tripadvisor. I can't believe they blew a whole day worrying about finding the tour manager when there are dozens of cabs and other tour people ready to help out

Yep, someone who really isn't a contributor to these boards complaining because a tour operator was looking out for others who were there for their tour and wouldn't want to wait the hour or more for others to join the tour. There are so many options once you get in Roatan that this person could have better spent their time. I wonder why people only post on cruise critic when they have a complaint instead of the give and take of information both positive and negative that most posters try and share with others.
