HAL cruise Veendam December 5 from Rio

My husband and I are taking HAL from Rio to Santiago and will be in Rio for several days before it sails. Anyone who is booked on the cruise interested in sharing sightseeing? Or does anyone who has been to Rio have specific suggestions on what to see (other than the obvious)? How about the places to watch dancing while eating? We have found that many places in the world that cater to tourists give rather awful dance performances, and lousy food, for high costs. Any ideas? Would love to communicate with a few adventurous travelers. Chennai
