Good Long Beach hotel on Priceline?

Hi,

I'm looking for Priceline tips for getting a good hotel in Long Beach.

We are cruising out of San Pedro but thought we would like to explore Long Beach this time.

Any advice on how to get one of the "short list" hotels I've seen listed would be appreciated.

Also advice from a local as to whether our plan of staying in LB for the night before is flawed would help our planning.

I dont know if I can mention this but here goes---have you tried biddingfortravel---they have the list of hotels and the star ratings-----thats how I went for it and booked my hotel for my cruise out of Galveston-----got a 3 1/2 + star hotel for 78.00 a night---

Hopefully this is what you mean by short list.

I stayed in San Pedo twice and took a trip over to Long Beach once-- to see the Queen Mary-- the other time we drove down and didnt feel like driving anymore----we did a park and cruise pkg---for that one

I got the Long Beach Hyatt on Priceline for 83.00 in September...Great hotel and a great location!!

Thanks guys - checked out the bidding for travel site, and used priceline. Just got the Westin in Long Beach for $55 for March 12.
