Where's the Upper?

We're on Valor in February - #6255. Has a sleeper couch and an "upper". Where's the upper? Above the couch or above the bed?

Typically they are above the bed. If beds are set up in a twin bed configuration, it will look like a top bunk.

I have not been on the Valor but I expect that it's recessed into the ceiling above the couch like this:

The Upper is above the Promenade, but below the Empress, don't know why they call it the Upper!:confused::D..................................................................................................decks, not bunks!

I think I got it narrowed down... Above the Promenade, below the Empress, and over either the bed or the couch.

If this helps, the room steward will pull it down at night, make it up and put the ladder in place. In the AM he will replace it in the ceiling so it won't be a factor all day. [unless you AXE him to leave it down during the day!]

From the pictures I have seen of other Conquest class ships (particularly the Liberty, which we are booked on) the upper bunk is over the sofa bed. Valor is also a Conquest class ship.
