Advice on Snorkeling. Eastern Carribean

We are sailing on Liberty on 3/6/10 to the Eastern Carribean. Grand Turks, St. Thomas, Half Moon Cay and Puerto Rico. Looking to do some snorkeling. Any suggestions on the best places to go? Ship excursions or private bookings?

Grand Turk, St Thomas, and Half Moon Cay would be good places to snorkel.

 

I would suggest doing through the ship because it is hard to line up private snorkel trips.

 

You can always snorkel off the beach for free but it is not usually as good as going out in a boat to a specific spot that has lots of fish.
