Hi...just booked a cruise that departs from Miami on the 26th December. It is on the liberty of the seas and lasts for seven days (including New Year). I was wondering what to expect.....Weather normally at that time of year. What they do for New Year celebrations. Do people get really dressed up that night? If any one has gone on a similar cruise when did they leave the UK (was it an early flight or did you leave the day before?).

BTW it's our second cruise, the first was in August (school summer holidays) on IOS....we dont have children but don't mind them being around and know this cruise will have quite a few.

Any tips and advice would be great. Thanks in advance xxx:D

I'm excited already x

The cold weather that Florida has been experiencing is RARE. :) Normally Florida, especially southern Florida is in the 70s in December.

Some ships will move their formal night to New Year's Eve. Most ships do a countdown and party somewhere for people to ring in the new year.
